Bram Van Camp is awarded with the Youth & Music Prize for Composition 2007
Some words from the Jury report:
"The laureate of the Youth and Music Award for Composition 2007 is a promising and multi-purposed composer with a recognizable and strong personal language. He is a thoroughbred composer and has built up an extended record of achievements for his young age. He composes throughout new and surprising points of view, he masters a huge technical background and uses a wide orchestral pallet of timbre. His calculated, but spontaneously promising compositions are addressing a new and wide audience. The jury is persuaded that the laureate is at the threshold of a great carreer, and that they want to support his further evolution by recognizing him with this award."
Bram Van Camp is named laureate for Call for Scores 2006 organised by ISCM-Flanders, for his String Quartet, submitted by Music Centre of Flanders for this contest. Bram’s string quartet is merited with the ISCM quality label and is designated 'interesting Flemish work'.
